– Australia National University – June 2002 — by Mark Cross
His aim was to find Pacific Art qualities as important art talks. To discuss European Art, it should be parallel to the style in Western Art, which developed a different world. It’s framework structure at Tjiboau Art Gallery to talk about its Chronological History. Pacific art can be out of the country to where people can see them, like on an isolated island such as Pukapuka or Rapanui for example which is situated outside, outdoors. Up the northern area of the Cook Islands that has a small population. You need to take everything into account, your own point of view, something that can be most useful to everyone. This simply sums up to tradition fine art. Something that is as personal that it involves several things, having flaws and their health systems.
